ResMed has announced the launch of the new ultra-light, ultra-quiet AirFit P10 nasal pillows system in the US market.
Designed for the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing, the system weighs only 1.6 ounces and is comprised of three parts, including a soft and stable QuickFit headgear and a low-noise QuietAir mesh vent.
It has been optimised to maintain a secure seal while delivering a high level of facial freedom, ensuring a minimal level of disturbance for patients and their bed partners.
AirFit P10 also features colour-coded cushion sizing. Small, medium and large sizes are available for male patients, while extra-small, small and medium sizes have been designed for women.
Jon Yerbury, vice-president of ResMed’s sleep-disordered breathing strategic business unit, said: “Our internal research has shown that the AirFit P10 provides an average of 40 more minutes of sleep per night than ResMed’s current market-leading nasal pillows mask.”
Last month, the company announced the acquisition of Unimedis, a leading distributor of equipment for the treatment of sleep disordered-breathing in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
