The OTC Journal, the longest running electronic newsletter focused on the small cap and microcap sectors, notes LifeApps (OTCQB: LFAP) could benefit greatly from expected growth in digital information delivery in the health care sector.
Earlier this year Kaiser Permanente created a sensation in the electronic medical records sector. Kaiser offered its patients the most comprehensive medical record digital solution to date. By simply downloading an AP on the Android smart phone, Kaiser patients are now able to make appointments, check lab tests, order prescription refills, and interact with their physicians.
Shortly after the introduction of this revolutionary Mobile APP, Kaiser announced it had garnered 95,000 downloads in the first week. Kaiser CEO George Halverson believes heath care information on mobile devices will become the new norm.
LifeApps already has a foothold in this significant growth arena. The use of SmartPhones is expected to hit 1.5 billion units globally by 2016. Within 10 years the market expects nearly everyone to carry a SmartPhone, and features and performance will be far better than today’s units.
ABI Research forecasts the mobile health care APP market will quadruple to $400 million by 2016.
Analysts in the health care industry believe digital APPS could represent an opportunity to prevent some percentage of the estimated $60 billion in annual medicare fraud. Digital APPS have the ability to track people by location and time immediately, giving law enforcement an opportunity to identify Medicare fraud as it is happening and respond.
Larry Isen, Editor of the OTC Journal states:
“LifeApps has proven it is capable of developing very robust APPS in the health and wellness space. Its MDWorkout AP was designed in conjunction with Dr. Venus Ramos for patients with Type II Diabetes to begin and track an exercise program. The AP has amazing video demonstration and tracking features. Health care providers will be looking for developers to provide solutions, and in my view LifeApps has a good chance to acquire some significant business in this growing sector.”
