TMG Health Appoints Charles Wayland EVP and COO

TMG Health, provider of technology-enabled solutions for Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D and Managed Medicaid plans, announced the appointment of Charles Wayland to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Wayland will work collaboratively with TMG Health’s Senior Executive Team and Board of Directors to provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction to the operational units. In addition, he will help to guide the Company’s future service offerings.

“Charles is a seasoned and trusted leader with a proven track record of leading strategy, operations, and finance for market-leading health management organizations, with a focus on BPO and Software as a Service (SaaS),” said Jack Tighe , President and CEO of TMG Health. “I am confident in Charles’ ability to align TMG Health’s current and future roadmaps in order to respond to the evolving needs of health plans and Pharmacy Benefits Managers in the government healthcare market.”

Wayland has extensive Medicare and Medicaid experience with multiple organizations. Prior to joining TMG Health, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President at Revolv, a BPO and SaaS technology company in the Dental Insurance market. He also spent nine years at Wellpoint, one of the nation’s largest health benefits companies, where his roles included Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Operations in the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Health Management Corporation.

In addition, he was employed as Vice President of Operations at Anthem Blue Cross Virginia and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. He has held senior operational and financial roles at Coventry Healthcare Corporation, First Health Services, and Garret Kosin Corporation.

Wayland holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va.
