In two executive changes at Highmark Health, Karen Hanlon has been named executive vice president and CFO, and Nanette DeTurk was appointed executive vice president and chief administrative and strategy officer and treasurer.
Hanlon joined the company in 1997 and has served as the company’s senior vice president, financial planning and analysis since 2009. She will oversee the Highmark Health Finance organization.
Hanlon began her career in public accounting at KPMG Peat Marwick and has held several positions within the finance division at Highmark. DeTurk has been a member of Highmark Health’s leadership team since joining the company in 1993. In her new role, she will collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement strategies that increase value and customer focus.
“These leadership changes represent initial, critical steps in implementing and accelerating Highmark Health’s transformation into a nationally recognized integrated health care delivery system,” President and CEO David Holmberg said in a prepared statement.
