Attention All Pharmacists, Technicians, Dispensing Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, DME Permit Holders and Pharmacy Permit Holders:
The 2014 renewal period begins November 1, 2013. If you choose to renew for 2014, you will be required to do so through the Board of Pharmacy secure website at www.ncbop.org using a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card. The Board no longer accepts American Express.
Absolutely NO paper renewals will be accepted, nor will cash, checks, or money orders. Just as in years past, you will be required to print your own 2014 certificate. At the end of your online renewal session you will be prompted to print your certificate and receipt.
Important Note To Pharmacists And Pharmacy Permit Holders:
Pharmacists who administer vaccines must confirm or indicate their status as an immunizing pharmacist on the annual renewal application. State law requires that all immunizing pharmacists notify the Board of that status.
Pharmacy permit holders should have received an email last week regarding services provided by your pharmacy. If you have not already done so, please log in at — https://www.ncbop1.org/Online/pharmacy — and select “Pharmacy Services – Update Pharmacy Services Affidavit.” Follow the prompts from there.
This information is required and it is important that you comply.
Once the renewal period starts on November 1, you will NOT be able to renew unless the information is answered. Chain pharmacies, please note that each permitted location is required to answer and the corporate office will not be able to renew your permit location until you have done so.
Remember, renewal links will not be available until November 1, so please check the website — www.ncbop.org — on or after November 1.
