Beth Bowen, the Executive Director of NCAMES, recently received correspondance from the NC Department of Health and Human Services regarding NC Medicaid payment issues with NCTracks.
If you are a provider and find yourself in a financial hardship due to the difficulties stemming from NCTracks NCAMES is advising you to follow the directions of the letter below.
Below is the text of the letter:
You are among a small group of providers that are having longstanding issues with getting some or all of your Medicaid claims paid. CSC will continue to work with you to address your issues but in the interim DHHS is issuing you a hardship advance. In order to do this we need a brief email from you requesting the advance. In addition, we will not be able to issue you a hardship advance if there are any program integrity issues or investigations with your organization currently underway. As your issues are addressed in the coming days DHHS will recoup any advances made to you. We need the following information referenced in your email.
- 1. Contact information for individual requesting advance.
- 2. Billing NPI Number
- 3. Address for overnight delivery service
- 4. Actual Medicaid payments received from January – June 2013.
- 5. Estimate of claims payments that are outstanding as of August 28th, 2013
Please address your email to NCTracks_Hardships@dhhs.nc.gov. We apologize for the inconveniences you have experienced. If we receive your email on August 28th we should be able to make a decision and get payment to you by end of week.
