Kimberely Brummett to Join AAHomecare Government Affairs Team

AAHomecare is pleased to announce that the Association has hired Kimberley Brummett as its new senior director of regulatory affairs.

Kim should be familiar to many members given her role over the past two years as the chair of the Association’s Regulatory Council. Her current company, Advanced Home Care of High Point, N.C., is a long-time member and Kim is presently the company’s senior director of regulatory and contracting.

Kim will fill a critical position at AAHomecare with her focus on the multitude of Medicare regulatory issues confronting companies in this industry. She will be part of the government affairs department which is headed by Jay Witter. With extensive experience managing reimbursement and compliance matters, non-clinical training, contracting, and government relations, Kim adds important depth to the Association’s ability to address industry-wide issues and specific concerns of individual members.

In addition to her work for Advanced Home Care over the past 15 years, Kim has consulted nationally on a host of reimbursement issues, operational process design, IT solutions and utilization, and accounts receivable management. She is currently the chairperson of the Jurisdiction C Advisory Council for CGS and she serves as the immediate past president and board member of the North Carolina Association for Medical Equipment Services (NCAMES). Kim is also a member of the National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) Advisory Committee and the Medtrade Educational Advisory Board.

Kim will join AAHomecare’s staff full-time in mid-June; however, even before that date she will be leading the Regulatory Council for a final meeting in early May and be attending our leadership meetings at the Washington Legislative Conference.
